Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A query entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the name or case number and supplies its results. We do not keep a separate log of those query terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email may be retained long enough to answer and maintain the related correspondence. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our systems receive basic technical and usage details when a page loads:
- Your device's internet protocol address
- Browser name and release
- Operating system and device category
- Viewed pages and approximate visit duration
- A referring website, when supplied
- The time recorded for each request
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small device files that help measure visits, popular pages, and exit points. Analytics vendors combine this traffic into reports. A browser can reject cookies, although blocking them may alter how some functions behave.
What We Do With This Data
- Operating and improving website performance
- Routing a submitted query to its provider
- Measuring which resources visitors use
- Diagnosing faults and security problems
- Selecting advertising that may be relevant
No Court-Record Data on File
We do not host, compile, maintain, or sell a database of Montgomery County court dockets or personal case data. Official trial records remain with the Circuit Court Clerk, Clerk and Master, Clarksville Municipal Court, or another originating court. Tennessee's appellate search is a separate government system. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the embedded search boxes. Their privacy terms govern information submitted through those tools, including retention and sharing. Review the provider's policy before entering a query because we do not control those practices.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Montgomery County clerk pages, Tennessee court resources, legal services, or commercial search providers. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's policy controls. Check it before disclosing personal information.
Advertising vendors may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select ads.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Some information may end up with:
- A search provider receiving a submitted query
- Analytics vendors measuring traffic and performance
- Advertising networks serving page content
- A government body when disclosure is compelled by a valid legal order
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security practices are used for collected information. No internet service can guarantee absolute protection, so we cannot promise that unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone younger than 18. A verified report of such data will be handled through deletion.
Your Data Rights
Applicable Tennessee privacy and consumer-protection law may provide rights concerning personal data. The Tennessee Public Records Act and Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 34 and Rule 1A govern access to government or court records, not private visitor data held by this site. Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Request access to personal information we retain
- Seek correction of inaccurate data
- Ask for deletion where the law permits it
- Object to or opt out of eligible processing
